Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Specialist — Last-Mile Medicine Delivery

Requirement

A global health NGO is optimising pharmaceutical supply chains in Nigeria and Kenya. The failure mode it is trying to eliminate is well known and hard to fix: medicines that clear customs correctly, sit in a central warehouse correctly, and then degrade or disappear somewhere in the last hundred kilometres to the facility that needed them. The supply chain specialist works that last mile. The role covers cold chain design and validation — temperature mapping, excursion management and the qualification of storage and transport at facility level; regulatory compliance with NAFDAC in Nigeria and the Pharmacy and Poisons Board in Kenya, covering importation, distribution authorisation and product recall procedure; and third-party logistics management, meaning the selection, contracting and performance management of 3PLs who will otherwise report on time-in-full against their own definitions. Essential medicines are the product set, which raises the stakes on stockouts and lowers tolerance for shrinkage. The role is based in Nigeria with regular travel to Kenya. Compensation is $4,500-$9,000 monthly depending on experience. The requirement is high urgency.
