Agricultural Value Chain Manager — Cocoa & Cashew Export

Requirement

A commodity aggregator with contracted buyers in Europe and Asia needs someone who can hold the origin end of a cocoa and cashew supply chain together. The buyers are already there; what is missing is reliable, certifiable, traceable volume out of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. The value chain manager owns that problem end to end. That means building and sustaining relationships with farmer cooperatives — negotiating purchase arrangements, handling pre-financing where it is used, and managing the seasonal friction that appears every year when side-selling becomes attractive. It means running quality at the point of aggregation rather than discovering problems at the port: moisture, bean count, defect rates and storage conditions. And it means owning export certification — phytosanitary documentation, origin certification under AfCFTA and EU regimes, and the EU Deforestation Regulation traceability obligations that now sit over every cocoa consignment entering the European market. The role is field-based across two countries, with the aggregator's Accra office as the anchor. Compensation is $4,000-$8,000 monthly depending on experience and the volume under management. The requirement is urgent — buyer contracts are already committed for the coming season.
