Supply Chain Manager — FMCG Last-Mile Distribution

Requirement

A pan-African FMCG distributor expanding in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya has three specific problems and is hiring a supply chain manager to own all of them. The first is last-mile network design. Distribution to general trade across these markets means thousands of small outlets, informal addressing, and route economics that collapse if drop sizes fall below threshold — the work is route-to-market design and territory planning, not warehouse optimisation. The second is inventory shrinkage, which in this trade is a combination of theft, damage in transit, expiry on slow-moving SKUs and reconciliation gaps between van sales and depot records. Reducing it requires systems and controls that people will actually follow, not a policy document. The third is 3PL management: selecting, contracting and holding logistics partners to performance in markets where service level agreements are frequently aspirational. The role is Nigeria-based with regular travel to Ghana and Kenya, and reports into commercial rather than pure operations — the expectation is that supply chain decisions are made against margin, not only against cost. Compensation is $4,000-$9,000 monthly. The requirement is high urgency.
