Pan-African C-Suite Executive Search – Regional CEO Mandate

A multinational industrial company seeks an executive search firm to identify and recruit a Regional CEO for Sub-Saharan Africa. The role oversees operations across 12 African countries with $150M+ annual revenue and 2,000+ employees. Total search engagement value is $125,000. The ideal candidate profile includes 15+ years of senior leadership experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors, demonstrated P&L responsibility of $100M+, experience managing multi-country African operations, and fluency in English with French highly desirable. The role is based in Johannesburg with extensive regional travel. We seek executive search firms with Pan-African reach, demonstrated industrial sector expertise, and track record placing C-suite executives in multinational African operations. The engagement follows retained search methodology with exclusivity. Fee structure is 30% of first-year compensation (base + target bonus) with projected total fees of $120,000-130,000. Payment is phased: 40% on engagement, 40% on shortlist presentation, 20% on successful placement. Guarantee period is 12 months with replacement provision. Timeline targets shortlist presentation within 8 weeks of engagement and placement within 16 weeks. The client has board-level urgency following the planned retirement of the current incumbent in Q4 2026. Previous African executive placements by the search firm will be evaluated.
