This diversified $80 million renewable energy portfolio offers investors exposure to operational and development-stage clean energy assets across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The portfolio's technology diversity – spanning solar PV, wind, and geothermal – provides natural hedging against resource variability while capturing the unique renewable endowments of East Africa. The portfolio includes 35MW of operational solar PV assets in Kenya with established power purchase agreements, a 25MW wind project in Tanzania at advanced development stage with grid connection secured, and participation rights in a 15MW geothermal project in Kenya's Rift Valley. Combined, these assets serve industrial off-takers, grid supply contracts, and commercial and industrial customers seeking to decarbonize. We are seeking strategic investors, co-development partners, and technical operators to expand this portfolio. Current assets generate stable cash flows with an average remaining PPA tenor of 12 years, while development assets offer growth upside. The portfolio manager has a 15-year track record in African renewables with over 200MW developed. East Africa offers compelling renewable energy fundamentals: Kenya derives over 90% of electricity from renewables and has a proven IPP framework, Tanzania is rapidly expanding its renewable capacity to meet 8% annual demand growth, and Uganda's GET FiT programme has successfully de-risked small-scale renewables. The investment is structured as an SPV holding company allowing flexible entry and exit, with projected blended returns of 14-16% IRR. All projects meet IFC Performance Standards.
