Requirement
A global health foundation is deploying telemedicine and electronic health record platforms across Anglophone Africa. The technology is not the hard part. The hard part is that every deployment runs through a ministry of health with its own digital health strategy, its own data governance position, and its own view on who owns patient records — and a platform rolled out without that alignment is switched off within a year. The programme lead carries that relationship. The role covers ministry engagement and alignment with national digital health strategies, deployment planning across facility networks, workforce training design for clinicians who have not worked with an EHR, and the monitoring and evaluation frameworks that donors require. Experience delivering USAID or PEPFAR programmes is required — not because the funding source is identical, but because the reporting discipline, procurement rules and indicator frameworks are, and a lead who has not worked inside them will spend the first year learning. The role spans East and West Africa with significant travel. Compensation is $7,000-$14,000 monthly depending on programme scale and experience. The requirement is high urgency against committed deployment timelines.
